Event Details: Seasonal Cooking on a Budget! (Theme: Frittatas!)

Description:

What: Participate in a food demonstration, taste samples, take home a recipe!

Kira Cohen-Milo, a resident of Sarasota Hall, will be completing her M.S. in Nutrition and Public Health from TC this May.  She's worked extensively in the marketing and production of food both in farmers markets and in school gardens and farms. Since at TC she has held cooking and nutrition classes across the public schools in Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx collaborating with Greenmarkets as an educator and Teachers College. She focuses on creating simple dishes that combine regional and seasonal ingredients which are always at their peak in terms of flavor and nutritional value.  We'll be creating easy nutritious dishes to cook from scratch in your room and community kitchens as well as learning about our regional food system.  Come and build your community at TC through food and conversation!
