Education Objectives

photo of studentsWe seek to continue to be identified as a superb place to be educated as a scholar-practitioner in the areas of cooperation, conflict resolution, and social justice by offering educational activities that include the most current thinking and pedagogy from experts across the field. We hope to become a magnet for diverse and excellent Ph.D. and M.A. students from around the globe.

Our new initiatives include:

> Updating and revising courses to further integrate multicultural perspectives.

> Institutionalizing action research into all courses and workshops.

> Collecting data on underlying theories.

> Organizing conferences, working meetings, dialogue sessions and brown-bag luncheons on conflict, justice, and systems.

> Enhancing the ICCCR & Peace Education Center interface.

> Establishing a Dissertation Summer Camp or Intersession for students writing dissertations in the areas of conflict resolution, social justice or oppression.
