In May of 2006, ICCCR collaborated with Columbia University's School of Social Work to host StirFry Seminars' two-day training workshop The Art of Mindful Facilitation, the conflict faciliation method developed by Lee Mun Wah. The training included: discovering ways to de-escalate conflict within minutes; learning how to replace adversarial and defensive statements with 26 responses that are mindfully and culturally receptive; exploring different methods that can help in creating a sense of community between diverse groups and individuals; enhancing observational and listening acuity by learning how to translate non-verbal messages into meaningful interventions.
