The theme for the 2013 ACR-GNY Annual Conference is "Mainstreaming Creative Conflict Resolution". Students are invited to submit original written work that addresses this topic. Winners will be invited to present on their paper at the ACR-GNY 2013 Annual Conference on June 20, 2013 in New York City.

On February 18, 2013, the World Leaders Forum program featured an address by Leymah Gbowee, 2011 Nobel Peace laureate, Liberian peace activist, Founder and President of the Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa, titled True Leadership Requires Accountability: The Way Forward for New African Leadership, followed by a question and answer session with the audience facilitated by Peter T.
