Who is An African in the Americas? —An Oxford-Style Debate explores what is means to claim an African identity in an increasing globalized world. Panelists will make arguments concerning a rigid definition of what African identity is, followed by an equally well-constructed argument advocating for a multifaceted understanding of what African identity encompasses. Panelists will include scholars from the fields of Anthropology, Sociology, History, and other fields.
