sexuality, women, and gender projectSWG’s mission is to create research, innovate curriculum programming, and partner with organizations beyond our campus. SWG hopes to spur an evolution in our most upheld and foundational theories of sex and gender (and power) in the field of Psychology and Education.

The Sexuality, Women, & Gender Project now offers a New York State approved certificate program: Certificate Program in Sexuality, Women and Gender in Psychology and Education. Offered exclusively through the Department of Counseling & Clinical Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University, a world-renowned training ground for the next generation of educators, researchers, practitioners, administrators, an activists interested in learning the next wave of theories and practices to improve the well-being for LGBTQ individuals and women.

  

Certification Upon Completion of:

15 points of specialized curricular requirements - (with course offerings such as Prenatal Mental Health, LGBTQ Issues in Psychology, Trans Issues in Counseling, etc.)

A research paper covering the student’s research and practice interests

A semester long practice/volunteer experience
