Focusing on the challenges of education and activism of undocumented youth, the Center for Multiple Languages and Literacies (CMLL), co-directed from the CMLTD program, hosted an inspired conversation between self-identified DREAMers from the state of New York and virtual members of L@s Otr@s DREAMers, a digital network created by and for young people who have returned to Mexico. Both group shared their challenges, accomplishments, and hopes, while also contextualizing the multiple difficulties that transnational undocumented youth encounter, including navigating a different language and lacking access to higher education and employment. The event was open to the public and was attended by both members of the CUNY and Teachers College communities.
