Dr. Sandra Okita from the Communication, Media, and Learning Technologies Design (CMLTD) program will be chairing the 25th International Symposium on Robot and Human Interactive Communication (RO-MAN 2016) at Teachers College, Columbia University on August 26-31, 2016 (Please note the date change). Featuring inspiring research, design development, and the use of robots that interact collaboratively with people and support human collaboration, the conference is an annual meeting of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The flyer for the conference was created by Pantiphar "Dao" Chantes, a doctoral student in the Instructional Technology and Media track in the CMLTD program. Previous conferences has been held in Kobe, Japan; Edinburgh, Scotland; Geyongju, Korea; Paris, France; and Berlin, Germany. There are two submission deadlines for this conference: Tutorial/Workshops proposals are due January 15, 2016, and Full Papers are due by February 12, 2016.
