Kids Ages 5-10 Needed for Brain Imaging Studies

($50 compensation for parents + gift and certificate for child)

The Neurocognition of Language Lab (http://www.tc.edu/neurocog) is seeking children between the ages of 5-10 to participate in functional brain imaging experiments.

We always need typically developing age-matched "control" participants but we also need children with the following experiences / conditions:

* children ages 6 to 10 with autism, Asperger's syndrome, and social communication disorder (IRB Protocol 14-062) * children ages 5 to 7 who have a diagnosis of Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) (IRB Protocol 14-029) * children ages 5 and 10 with training in mindfulness / meditative practices (IRB Protocol 14-205)

All experiments require a visit to the lab (approximately 2 hours) and will include behavioral testing and an EEG session (a non-invasive form of functional brain imaging).

All experiments provide $50 cash to parents and a small toy or gift card for the child along with a junior neuroscientist certificate.
