The Neurocognition of Language Lab at Teachers College, Columbia University conducts theoretically-grounded empirical research using behavioral, electroencephalographic, and other brain imaging modalities, with the goal of increasing understanding of the processes and representations involved in speech, language and cognition, and informing best practices in clinical and (educational) pedagogical arenas.

Members of the Neurocognition of Language Lab presented a session titled "Implementation and Research on a School-wide Mindfulness Program in a Bronx School." Movement Science faculty and students presented a session on "Exercise As Medicine." (4/22/2015)
The lab is currently seeking kids ages 5-10 with autism OR apraxia & typically developing controls for ongoing research studies in the lab -'" $50 + a small gift and certificate for the child. (1/29/2015)
