Everett Lounge Dedication

On May 10, the refurbished student lounge was dedicated as the Everett Lounge to honor Edith and Henry Everett, who provided funding for the renovation. In his remarks, President Arthur Levine said that the Everetts had given the College a long-needed boost. "Beyond having created the room, you have given us a model we can hope to emulate," he said. Edith Everett, an alumna who received her master's degree in Student Personnel Administration 50 years ago and recently received a Distinguished Alumni Award, told those in attendance, "It is a great joy to see the fruition of this effort. I hope you will enjoy it on a daily basis." Her husband, Henry Everett, noted that they chose to fund the student lounge "because it is centrally located and because it is a central point for student activity and study."previous page
