Employee Assistance Program: Support When You Need It

"Most of us can expect that from time to time problems may arise in our lives," says Jeffrey Emil Diaz, Director of Client Services at the Teachers College Employee Assistance Program. "EAP helps employees, extended families and significant others get the services they need on a confidential basis."
Some of the services available through EAP are help with stress management, childcare, job issues, family and relationship problems, or problems relating to legal, financial, or expatriate concerns. EAP works with clients to identify resources that are appropriate to the individual and the situation. The cost is covered by the College. If a referral to an outside provider is needed, costs may be partially covered by health insurance.
Appointments to meet with EAP counselors or to have a telephone session can be made by calling (212) 935-3030 between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., although actual appointments may be scheduled at earlier or later times. Twenty-four hour emergency telephone coverage is also available.previous page
