Jack Hyland, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees introduced Bailey and said that the community was enormously pleased to have her here.
"This ain't Cleveland," said Bailey with a laugh. "But New York City is the microcosm of the world and I will grow and stretch here."
Bailey was the Dean of the School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western University. She was at the school for 13 years and spent 7 years as its dean. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Secondary Education from Lafayette College in 1974.
