Frances Schoonmaker discusses her book.

Professor Frances Schoonmaker spoke recently about her latest book, Growing Up Teaching: From Personal Knowledge to Professional Practice, to a gathering of faculty, students and alums at Teachers College. The book, based on a ten-year study, looks at how a teacher's own knowledge influences personal development in that field, following one teacher from her years of teacher preparation through her time as a seasoned veteran.previous page
