On May 11, the Society for International Education
launched Education in Emergencies and Post-Conflict Situations:
Problems, Responses, Possibilities
, an edited volume of graduate
student research. The evening featured a panel discussion, volume
introduction, and reception. The panel was comprised of scholar-practitioners
from across Columbia, including Dana Burde of Teachers College
(pictured), Zachary Metz of the Center for International Conflict
Resolution, and Neil Boothby of the Mailman School of Public Health.
The SIE event was co-sponsored by the ITS Department and ASWG
