Teachers College Dean Accepts Post at Minnesota
By StaffDarlyne Bailey, Teachers College dean and vice president for academic affairs, has announced that she will step down after Labor Day to take the position of dean at the University of Minnesota's College of Education and Human Development.
The move comes on the heels of the announcement that Susan Fuhrman, dean of the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education, would become president of Teachers College in July, filling a vacancy left by outgoing president Arthur Levine.
"What better time to leave than amid applause?" Bailey asked. "What better time to leave than when the college is strong and on a directory to improve?"
