Fighting Crime With Knowledge

As part of Safety Week, representatives from the NYPD were on campus to discuss crime prevention and awareness in the workplace and NYC.

As part of Safety Week, representatives from the NYPD were on campus to discuss crime prevention and awareness in the workplace and NYC. A large part of the week was devoted to fire safety and building evacuation procedures for the TC Community. Fire safety and evacuation training is mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Sessions on crime awareness, sexual assault, and child fingerprinting are also offered. TC's Campus Safety Week was sponsored by the Office of Safety and Security, the Campus Safety Committee, Office of Housing and Residence Life, Office of Community and Diversity and Student Life Center.
