Student Senate Gala

Jack Hyland, Co-Chair of TC's Board of Trustees, prepares to receive an award from Student Senate President Christy Bagwell at the third annual Spring Gala on Thursday, April 24 in the TC Cafeteria. The gala gave students a chance to relax and listen to the music and poetry of their peers, and also served as a chance for the Student Senate to recognize members of the TC Community for "contributions to the cause of education and the development of Teachers College and its students."

The following people were recognized: Victor Ahor-Yeboah, Security Guard, Office of Safety and Security; Joe Brosnan, Vice President, Development and External Affairs; John Broughton, Professor, Arts and Humanities Department; Ruth and Sandy Gottesman, Trustee (Ruth), Donors for the New Library; Michelle Hill, Academic Secretary, Curriculum and Teaching Department; Jack Hyland, Co-Chair, Board of Trustees; Robert Jackson, Campaign for Fiscal Equity Founder and New York City Council Member; Timothy Kingsley, Chief of Campus Safety and Security, Office of Safety and Security; Mary Mendenhall, Associate Director, Career Services; Gary Natriello, Interim Director, Milbank Memorial Library; Aaron Pallas, Professor, Human Development Department; Sofia Pertuz, Assistant Director, Office of Housing and Residence Life; Barry Rosen, Director, TC in Afghanistan Project; Murray Shulman, Director, Sage Dining Services; and Laurie Tisch, Trustee, Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee.
