Dreams and Dedications

Gottesman Libraries open as first phase of construction ends.

The Gottesman Libraries were officially dedicated at a ceremony on November 4, one year after construction began. A crowd of TC students, faculty and staff gathered to witness the ribbon-cutting by donors Ruth and Sandy Gottesman. Attendees later toured the facility, where the world's largest and richest collection of materials on the educating professions now has a new, state-of-the-art home. Ruth Gottesman, a TC alumna and member of the Board of Trustees, thanked everyone involved in the project. "My connections to TC have enhanced and enriched my life," she said. "I wanted to give back to TC and my husband has made it possible for both of us. May all of us begin to enjoy the library of tomorrow, right now-today."
