 David Levering Lewis, the Julius Silver University Professor and Professor of History at New York University, gives a lecture titled "W.E.B. Du Bois and the Politics of Education" in Milbank Chapel on Wednesday, April 20. Lewis's research ranges from the Dreyfus affair in 19th-century France to the American civil rights movement. He received the Pulitzer award for his two-volume biographies of W.E.B. Du Bois. The lecture was part of the Institute for Urban and Minority Education's Mellon Scholars Colloquium Series in Ethics, Morality and Pedagogy.
