The Inauguration of Susan H. Fuhrman

The inauguration is a major occasion in the life of the College -- a celebration not only of Dr. Fuhrman herself, but also of ideas and the College's enduring values, and of the energy and redoubled commitment that a new president brings to the table. See video and read transcripts of the event.

For ultimately, though Teachers College is entering a new era, we also are affirming the things we have always stood for: excellence in education and research, a commitment to helping poor and disadvantaged students, and a focus on education in all areas as the best means for sustaining and improving a democratic society.
