WELCOME! This is your section of our Website.
As a parent of a child who is visually and hearing impaired, you are a vital part of your child's experience at school, at home, and in your community.
Our relationship with you, your child, and your family is extremely important to us and we are here to assist your hard work in any way that you may need us.
My position as the Family Specialist at NYSTAP allows me to support your efforts trying to find the proper school for your child, offering training or technical assistance for the programs or agencies that you are dealing with, provide information about all kind of resources available concerning Deafblindness, and work with you on any particular issue that might involve any member of your family (parents and/or siblings).
In the near future, this section will include some family stories and we will have a change to have a "Q & A" column with your input.
