The National Technical Institute for the Deaf in cooperation with the New York State Technical Assistance Project Serving Children and Youth Who Are Deafblind have produced the following DVDs:
DVD 1: "Silence with a Touch: Living with Usher Syndrome"
This DVD introduces you to several individuals, from early adolescence to adulthood, who are living with this genetic syndrome that causes both hearing and progressive vision loss. Thousands and thousands of people worldwide are affected by this condition that requires ongoing adjustments over the lifespan. This film shares some of their stories and the challenges these individuals face living with Usher syndrome.
DVD 2: “Usher Syndrome: Personal and Professional Perspectives” 
This DVD is a self-learning module and a follow-up to “Silence with a Touch: Living with Usher Syndrome”.
There are two sources of information on this DVD:
1. Dr. Bill Kimberling provides technical information about Usher Syndrome.
2. A student panel, led by Paul Molloy, the Project Coordinator of the New York State Technical Assistance Project, discuss their experiences living with Usher Syndrome on a daily basis.
