Valerie Thompson

B.A. Mathematics and Biology, Bard College, Ph.D. Microbiology, Columbia University. Valerie is the Director of the Immediate Science Research Opportunity Program at Bard College and a Visiting Scientist at the Rockefeller University. She taught in the Bard college MAT program to help prepare teachers to for classroom science instruction and she is also teaching a cohort of inmates at Eastern Correctional Facility The Biology of Infectious Disease. She is tapped to be the principal for a new Bard high School Early College to open in the fall of 2008.

Valerie is now serving as a Principal at Bard High School Early College, New York, NY.
