Christina Lee

Christina Lee is a secondary Instructional Coach at Friendship Public Charter School's Tech Prep Academy in Washington, D.C. Tech Prep is Friendship's most recent campus, founded in 2009. It is primarily focused on STEM and technology integration. It is currently a 6-9th grade school, but will continue to grow to be a 6-12th grade school. Christina started at Friendship as a Spanish teacher at their high school campus, and then became a founding teacher in 2009. She taught Spanish and Drama, served on the leadership team, and was last year's Technology Integration Specialist. She is currently the Drama coach and the Instructional Coach. Christina received a B.A. with distinction from the University of Virginia in 2006, a M.A.T. in secondary foreign language instruction from American University in 2009, and earned National Board Certification in 2011. She was also Tech Prep's first Teacher of the Year for the 2009-2010 school year. As a member of the 2012 SPA NYC cohort, she is excited to meet her fellow cohort members and build a strong set of leadership skills through the program in order to have a larger impact on urban education.
