Use the list below as you prepare to apply for the Education Leadership Ph.D. program.
|a. Application Deadline||
We will accept applications for the Ph.D. Program beginning in September 2014 for admission to the 2015 cohort. Applications must be complete with all documents received in the Office of Admission by the Program deadline of December 15, 2014 in order to be considered for fall 2014 admission.
|b. Application Fees||New Applicant = $65, Re-applicant = $35
|c. TC Major Code||ELSR (for use in TC Admissions process)
|d. Personal Statement||Provide a short essay on why you want to be a
university professor in education leadership and what you envision
yourself accomplishing in that role. Describe your interests in this
Program, your plans for study, and your future goals.
|e. Recommendation Letters||3 required
|g. Transcript||Official transcript required
|h. GRE||Avg. verbal = 648, Avg. quantitative = 672, Avg. analytical writing = 5. GREs are one factor in a holistic review.
|j. Teaching experience (OPTIONAL)||Desired but not required: Any evidence of effective teaching at the collegiate level (i.e., teacher evaluations)
|k. Academic sample (OPTIONAL)||A publication would be outstanding, followed by a book chapter or report, but not required.|
