Gwendolyn Lewis is currently leading a team in the Research, Design and Development of an Educator’s Handbook focused on Special Education. Her career in education has spanned over 40 years. The career includes 13 years of teaching mildly to severely handicapped students, Instructional Diagnostician, Advisor, Special Education Supervisor, Regional Coordinator for Equity, and Special Education. Gwendolyn was named a Ruth Wright Hayre Scholar for excellence in teaching. She also served as consultant to the School District's Special Education Leadership Academy Initiative with Temple University. Gwendolyn has also served as an instructor at the University level in the areas of School Law, Special Education, Curriculum/Teaching and Learning and Educational Leadership. Currently. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Cheyney University, Pennsylvania, a Master's Degree in Special Education from Temple University, Pennsylvania, and Supervision Certifications from Pennsylvania State University and St. Joseph's University, Pennsylvania.
