Jahi Rohrer
B.A. in Studio Art, Middlebury College; M.A. in Elementary Education, Pace University. Jahi is a former student-athlete who competed as a member of Middlebury’s varsity soccer team and as a member of the United States Development Ski team. Prior to college he was the first African-American to win the overall title at the United States Alpine Skiing Junior Olympic Championship. After college Jahi joined Teach For America and taught 1st and 2nd grade students in the Bronx where he was quickly nominated for the New York Sue Lehmann Award – an award given to 2nd year TFA corps members who have demonstrated extraordinary academic gains with their students. Currently Jahi works as a Regional Director for Lighthouse Academies in DC.
