Welcome to the Higher and Postsecondary Education Program
I am proud to announce another accomplishment for one of our doctoral students, Anabella Martinez, in the Higher and Postsecondary Education Program. Anabella was selected as an Office of Policy and Research (OPR) Fellow for the 2007-2008 academic year. The title of her study is "Learning through Research: Undergraduate Research as a Context for Student Development."
She will receive a generous financial grant and will participate in a series of events throughout the academic year. In the fall, she will meet with Sharon Kegan, Director of the OPR, and the rest of the recipients to discuss their research and plan the activities for the fellows for the year. They will attend brown bag luncheons and colloquia, and will have many opportunities for informal interactions with faculty. As a fellow, Anabella will participate actively in the shaping of the policy and research agenda at Teachers College.
Professor Anna Neumann is the Advisor for Anabella in the HPSE Program.
Please join me in congratulating Anabella on this prestigious award!
