The impact of participation in an arts project on students with disabilities was examined in the context of two arts-in-education programs for students with disabilities in New York City. The challenges faced by the multiple partners involved in the projects were discussed.
Hickson, L., & Glinou, N. (April, 2000). Vocational transition in the new millennium: Identifying optimal services for people with mental retardation. Poster presented the Annual Convention of the Council for Exceptional Children, Vancouver, BC.
The poster highlighted critical issues relating to successful trnsition outcomes for people with disabilities. Results of interviews with service providers representing three different employment training models were reported.
