Students who have been admitted to the doctoral or
masters degree programs in Special Education in the Department of
Health and Behavior Studies at Teachers College are considered on a competitive basis
for Research Fellowships at the Center for Opportunities and Outcomes for People with Disabilities.
Students who are selected, on the basis of their interests and achievements, as Center for Opportunities and Outcomes
Fellows will be expected to devote a specified amount of time, ranging from a half day
to two full days per week, to Center-related research activities.
Activities will include orientation and research training, biweekly
research colloquia with invited speakers, and regular meetings with
Center Fellows and faculty members. Fellows can expect opportunities to
develop a wide-range of research skills in the context of an active
research community.
