UELC Intercultural Competencies in School Leadership Institute

UELC Intercultural Competencies in School Leadership Institute

This two-day institute will provide a structured, interactive professional learning experience for building and district leaders to examine and develop their intercultural leadership capacities in relationship to instructional leadership. Leaders will participate in a simulated case study approach to professional learning that develops their capacity to lead collaborative decision-making teams. Intercultural leadership tools will be shared and modeled in a highly interactive and experiential professional learning setting. School-based and district-based teams are encouraged to attend.

Offered 3 Times During the Summer in New York City at Teachers College

May 5-6, 2017; July 6-7, 2017; August 14-15, 2017

Each institute is offered two consecutive days at Teachers College from 8 am - 4 pm. The Institute fee of $995 includes 2 CEUs, a certificate of completion from Teachers College Columbia University, breakfast, lunch, leadership assessment, and instructional materials.

UELC Professional Learning Plan Leadership Institute

UELC Professional Learning Plan Leadership Institute

This two-day institute will provide a structured, interactive professional learning experience for building and district leadership teams to create and/or revise organization-wide professional learning plans. Leaders will participate in a simulated case study approach to professional learning that develops their capacity to lead collaborative decision-making teams in pursuit of supporting adult learning and growth. Adult learning principles will be presented and tools designed to apply adult learning theory to practice will be modeled and used to 1) support giving effective feedback to adult learners and 2) inform the design of professional learning plans. Tools aligned to the NYC DOE and Learning Forward will be presented and applied in a highly interactive and experiential professional learning setting. School-based and district-based teams are encouraged to attend.
