Group Relations Conferences at Teachers College, Columbia University
We are excited that you are considering participating in a Group Relations Conference at Teachers College, sponsored by the Social-Organizational Psychology program. Thank you for your interest and welcome to our community.
In order to secure a spot in one of our conferences, please read the following information and fill out the form (below). In general, we hold group relations conferences three times a year (November, April, and July) for graduate students at Teachers College and Columbia affiliates enrolled in the course Group Dynamics: A Systems Perspective. We welcome conference members from outside the course and typically have between five and 15 such members attend each conference. A diverse conference membership deepens everyone’s learning and serves to enrich the conference experience for all.
Upcoming Conference Schedule:
November 17-19, 2017 (approximately 9am-9pm on Fri/Sat; 9am-6pm on Sun)
April 13-15, 2018 (approximately 9am-9pm on Fri/Sat; 9am-6pm on Sun)
July 27-29, 2018 (approximately 9am-9pm on Fri/Sat; 9am-6pm on Sun)
All conference events are held on the Teachers College campus located at 525 W. 120th Street, New York, NY, 10027.
If you would like to attend a group relations conference here at Teachers College (and you are not currently enrolled in Group Dynamics: A Systems Perspective), the first step is to complete this form: https://goo.gl/forms/6jMDZHePhjfK6Ost1
After filling out the form, you will be contacted on a first-come, first-serve basis for the next available conference. Of note, registration usually opens about 1.5 months in advance of the conference, so there may be a delay between when you complete the form and when you hear back from us. After you are contacted, if you are able to attend the conference, you will be sent the conference brochure and asked to complete the same registration process as the students enrolled in the course. Finally, all members are charged a registration fee, which can be paid via check or credit card. After registering, you will be contacted with an invoice.
The conference fee is $450 which includes all conference events and light refreshments throughout the weekend. (Modest discounts are available for current students, employees in not-for-profit organizations and for organizations sending three or more members.)
Please contact Danielle Pfaff (TCgrouprelationsconferences@gmail.com) with any additional questions about group relations conferences at Teachers College in the Social-Organizational Psychology program. Thanks again for your interest. We are looking forward to learning with you.
