Resources for Students and Families

EVERY Saturday morning the corridors of TC are transformed by the presence of 36 young boys from the community.

The new Steps to Success program, run by The Institute for Urban and Minority Education (IUME) offers cultural enrichment activities to second and third grade boys in collaboration with the Children’s Aid Society. The boys also partake in an after school program two days a week held at Wadleigh High School.

IUME, which is dedicated to the social and educational development of urban minority students, also runs a college preparation program with Harlem Children’s Zone.

For parents and the wider community IUME provides an online database of supplementary education and after-school programs. The free listing includes programs and services in academic enrichment and tutoring, cultural activities and sports, arts and recreation.
