Student Research and Outreach Recognition Day

The Office of School and Community Partnerships invites you to the 2010 Student Outreach Showcase, a multimedia exhibition highlighting TC students' outreach in New York City schools
Time: 3:00pm - 5:00pm
Location: TC Dining Hall

Learn about the range of projects, resources and supports that TC students bring to New York City youth. Meet some of the young people who are beneficiaries of TC's outreach work and how to get involved.  
Exhibits showcase work from Harlem Schools Partnership, Student Press Initiative, LiFE, Reading & Math Buddies, Peace Corps Fellows, Dean Hope Center, and many more. Refreshments will be served

Harlem Ivy Students

TC's 2nd annual Student Outreach Showcase recognized and applauded students who work and volunteer in New York City schools and communities.

Held on April 23 in the dining hall, the exhibition featured table displays, brightly-colored posters and audio-visual exhibitions from numerous TC projects involving New York City public schools. Among them were 

  • Student Press Initiative
  • Reading/Math Buddies
  • LiFE
  • Peace Corps Fellows
  • Dean Hope Center
  • Philosophy
  • Urban Science Project
  • EdLab
  • Urban Masculinities
  • Say Yes to Education
  • Institute for Urban and Minority Education
  • Harlem Schools Partnership
  • Heritage

Dr. Sabrina King, Chief Academic Officer of the NYC Department of Education (pictured immediately below), was the keynote speaker of this year's Showcase. She highlighted the importance of School Partnerships in ensuring a brighter future for the youth of New York City.
