Duquès Social Justice Endowed Scholarship Fund

Every year, the Duquès Social Justice Endowed Scholarship Fund supports one student at the College who has a demonstrated interest in working for social change and educational justice through community engagement and outreach in a school-based setting or community organization. The recipient receives $5,000 during the course of the academic year and interns under the supervision of a TC faculty member.

Preference is given to a student who has lived and worked in a disadvantaged community like the ones they are serving and who plans to continue working in school-based settings or community-based organizations upon graduation. Recipients are students in good academic standing who demonstrate financial need and continue to work with community organizations while at TC, as part of a faculty-led project. Duquès Scholars are eligible for the award for up to three successive academic years.

The recipient will be selected from among the applicants for Zankel Fellowship awards. The Zankel Fellowship application period is March/April of each year.
