MaximilianBeach currently teaches English and Humanities at the New York Military Academy in Cornwall on Hudson, NY where he is also the fencing instructor and debate coach.
"Mytime in the Philosophy and Education program at Teachers College was amazing,and full of great satisfaction. On an intellectual level, I was able to freelyexplore my interest in leadership, public discourse, and personal motivation.My close study of Rousseau and Hannah Arendt (among others) allowed me to feela deeply personal connection with their texts. My studies were informed by theprogram's commitment to academic rigor and intense discussion. On a personallevel, I made wonderful friends. I realize that graduate programs are oftenevaluated by the caliber of the intellectual and authorial output of itsfaculty and graduates; however, I believe that the truest evaluation of aprogram is its ability to facilitate strong bonds of collegiality andfriendship among its graduates, for this is what endures over the course of acareer and lifetime."
