Professional Development Fund
All full-time professional employees (upon completion of 6 months of employment) are entitled to receive reimbursement up to $300 per fiscal year for a development activity (e.g., seminar, training program, e-learning etc.) that relates to his or her position at TC.
Below you will find a sample list of local organizations, schools, and institutes. This list is not exhaustive, so please feel free to research other opportunities as well.

Instructions to Pursue and Redeem $300 Professional Development Fund (PDF) Benefit:
Step 1: Employee identifies professional development activity related to his or her job.
Step 2: Employee discusses the activity with his or her supervisor and receives approval from supervisor to pursue opportunity.
Step 3: Employee emails his or her Human Resource Generalist and confirms that PDF funds may be used for the particular activity.
Step 4: Employee registers and pays out-of-pocket for activity once activity is approved by supervisor and HR Generalist.
Step 5: Employee submits Check Request Form to Office of Human Resources along with 3 items: Invoice/receipt (confirming payment) for activity, a brief summary of the activity with explanation for how activity relates to job, and written approval from employee’s supervisor for the activity. Leave the “Fund” and “Account” fields blank.
Step 6: Once Check Request Form (along with 3 items) are received by Office of Human Resources, a reimbursement is provided to employee within 2-3 weeks.
