Teachers College Student Opportunities

Each year, Teachers College graduate students are invited to contribute to REACH in many ways:

Zankel Fellows provide students across REACH partner schools with high-quality expanded learning opportunities that expose the students to new ideas as well as support the development of their academic skills and content knowledge. Fellows work directly with students and engage them in hands-on, inquiry based projects that are aligned to the Common Core Standards. The Zankel Fellowship is a merit- and need-based award available to TC graduate students.

Milman Fellows are selected from among TC students focusing on literacy, who further their research and practice in REACH schools by working closely with classroom teachers on literacy-related projects.

Off-campus work-study positions are available every year for graduate students who qualify for work-study jobs. Work-study students assigned to REACH schools may serve as classroom assistants or tutors during the school day and after-school. Interested students eligible for work-study should review student positions posted by the Office of School and Community Partnerships on TC’s employment portal.
