Residential Services
The Office of Residential Services at Teachers College strives to create a multicultural campus community that supports students in their academic endeavors and personal growth. The residence halls bring together graduate students from all over the world in an environment that provides a unique opportunity to establish new friendships, explore other world views, and take advantage of all that New York City offers. Living close to the campus affords students easy access to the library, classrooms, gymnasium, and other Columbia University facilities. Students may choose to take advantage of a wide range of planned residence hall activities, club meetings, departmental lectures, and cultural events. You can apply online for student housing HERE

Off-Campus Housing
The Office of Residential Services is committed to assisting incoming and matriculating students in securing affordable, adequate off campus housing through the below on resources and services which can help you complete a successful search. The Office of Residential Services can help students through individual appointments, information sessions and an Off Campus Housing Guide.

Columbia University Off Campus Housing
This resource can be used for all Columbia University students. Columbia's Off-Campus Housing Assistance (OCHA) office assists Columbia students and affiliates in their search for rental housing in the metropolitan area. OCHA manages a database known as the Housing Registry, which includes available rooms and apartments in non-Columbia-owned buildings and sublets of units in Columbia-managed housing.  Prospective roommates can also post and search profiles on this site. In addition, OCHA offers housing search counseling and is supported in these efforts by our cooperative relationships with two New York City real estate/relocation agencies.
