Attention Teachers College Graduates:
INFORMATION ABOUT FEDERALLY MANDATED
EXIT INTERVIEW REQUIREMENT

Congratulations on your graduation from Teachers College, Columbia University!  It has been a pleasure working with you toward your educational goals.  Because you have borrowed one or more federal student loans while enrolled at TC, you must fulfill an exit interview requirement.  This requirement is federally mandated and will provide you with vital information necessary for the timely repayment of your student loans.  In an effort to meet the needs of our students, you can fulfill this federal obligation online following a few simple steps.

Step One:
Please visit the National Student Loan Data System (Student Access) at www.nslds.ed.gov. From this site you will be able to obtain a complete federal student loan history.  Click on the Financial Aid Review tab and proceed to the Confirming Your Identity page.  Here you will be asked to provide your SSN, first two letters of your last name, your date of birth and your federal PIN. After providing this information, you will be able to view your entire loan borrowing history. From this web site you can determine if you borrowed Federal Direct Stafford Loans or Federal FFELP Stafford Loans.
