Robert P. Taylor's SeeRIBIE: Personal Reflections on a Professional Trip

SeeRIBIE

All Drawings, in Order Drawn

Like the details of all life-defining events and activities, there is a multidimensional randomness to who got reflected in SeeRIBIE and how. With respect to who for example, hundreds of persons were encountered in the trip, but only 42 were drawn. Though only 42 were drawn, seven of those few were done twice, and two, three times. As discussion elsewhere in the site suggests, though such choices were sometimes due to a particular subject's being interesting or challenging to draw, they were as often due strictly to opportunity convenience. With respect to how, the color and shading also occurred as often because of a faint tint's appearing as the image was digitized as because of a concious decision to underscore a particular person's or a particular encounter's drama. Encounters and events as life defining, below, discusses this further.
