Robert P. Taylor's SeeRIBIE: Personal Reflections on a Professional Trip

Lan Chile Flight 7704 departed Santiago Airport at 10:20pm on December 6 and arrived in New York the next morning, at 7:00am (9.00 Santiago time). Given the two hour time difference between the two cities, this meant the 5600 mile flight took a little more than 10 hours. I had drawn one passenger and the steward on the flight north and on the subway back to my apartment from the airport, I drew three typical globally diverse New York residents, especially fitting as the last subjects on my journey to RIBIE 2000. The temperature was below freezing in New York, so the heavy winter coat I had lugged unused all over summery Argentina and Chile finally got some use.
