All drawings reflected in the site
In order drawn

The digital images above reflect all drawings drawn for this site, arranged in the order in which they were drawn, irrespective of the dates when the works themselves were created (see Works, in chronological order below, for that). This ordering of the drawings reflects the serendipitous nature of the selection of what to draw next. Naturally, it is not related in any noticable manner to the age of the works being drawn, but may be related to type of work, the subject, or the medium of the originals. It its most serendiptious, it reflects being somewhere near a certain collection of art (like that in Washington, DC) and drawing a selection of what's there, perhaps in a special display. For example, a four day trip to Washington in August 1998 produced 12 drawings, most from two specific collections that were of interest to me at the time - some sculpture in the Hirschhorn and a small set of 19th Century self-portraits in the East Wing of the National Gallery (see A dozen DC drawings below).
