Bahrainian Family - The Al Balooshis

The family is an important element of life in any society and this is particularly so in Bahrain. This site includes eight drawings of various members of the Al-Balooshi family, most directly related to Fatima Al-Balooshi. They are: her father and mother (top row, left two insets); two sisters (top row, remaining insets); Fatima and her husband, (bottom row, the two black and white insets); and two of her children (remaining insets). Many, though not all, of these drawings were made in a tent in the desert, a diversionary getaway popular in Bahrain, and one that the Al Balooshi family enjoy at those seasons in the year when it is not too hot in the central portion of the island.
