On this, as on every trip I've made, I knew some people by name beforehand and got to know the names of some others before the trip is over. For many reasons though, I didn't get to know the name of everyone, even everyone I drew. Nevertheless, as an additional browsing option, an index to the drawings by name is provided, albeit covering only the drawings of people whose names are known. Each name is linked to a page featuring a drawing of the person named. Because people serendipitously encountered also shape one's sense of a meeting and the experience associated with it, the index above includes everyone drawn whose name was known or collected, regardless when or where. Thus some names above are not of participants in the actual globalization conference, but people encountered enroute, in London, in Bahrain's ancient city, in the desert, or somewhere else during the period 28 February through 8 March. Do these pictures of such people belong in a site like this? Certainly. Encountering them was itself a sign of the globalization being discussed. And, with the internet's global domain and its search engines, any of those people with access, from anywhere on the world, could end up finding himself or herself by name here....
