In a drawing-based website, the context within which each image is displayed can both aid navigation and convey additional meaning beyond the particular image. Above are all the exhibits chosen to present the images in this site, followed by a name listing for the complimentary navigational help it can provide. Only the first exhibit, All Images, digitially presents all the drawings made for this site. Each of the others presents only that subset relevant to its stated theme (Musicians, Those in transit, etc). One of the interesting things about web display is that the same image may be displayed, virtually concurrently, in as many exhibits in a single site as the site designer wishes to implement (see Related Taylor websites for examples elsewhere). The wiser the choice of exhibits, the more likely the site is to be revelatory of the ideas and concepts the designer hopes to communicate. Aside from everything else, including navigation, one of the striking things about all of the collectons above is the persistent global dimension to almost every one of them.
