Two "light" Irises, two shapes, two media

Done four days apart, these two Irises were lighter in color than some I did of similar, but deeper hue (see Deep purple Irises below). The 14 May image, left, was created using watercolors, wash, and pencils, on a sheet of standard white xerox paper. The other was created on 18 May with pencils alone, on the reverse side of a sheet of white paper with a diagram of some sort printed on its reverse side. It was the sole usable sheet I happened to find in my brief case that day, when, passing the Iris bed, this blossom's odd shape attracted my attention.
