Robert P. Taylor's Flowery: a webbery of flower images 

This pair of images of "purple" Irises, done two days apart, appear to be paying deference to each other. The earlier one, done on 23 May was created using only pencils, working on a sheet stiff drawing paper. The second was created on similar stock but using both watercolors and pencils. the watercolor tends to produce a smoother surface, even if a penciled drawing is brushed with water. These two deep purple Irises seem to be quintissential representatives of the flower.....
