Robert P. Taylor's Flowery: a webbery of flower images 

Two yellow Irises, two media

Done three days apart, these two images of yellow Irises were created rather differently. That on the left was done with a black pencil on a piece of yellow construction paper; that on the right, with a pencil and watercolors on a sheet of green poster board. In size they also differed, with that on the left about 6 inches high and the watercolor on the right about 9. The green poster board afforded a nice contrast to the colors of the painting; the yellow of the contstruction paper merely emphasizing the yellow of the flower. Either of these blossoms might have been the model for the yellow cutout (see Models for yellow cutout? below).
